Brian Burke joins the Sportsnet team of hockey analysts

Always good for a sound bite, long-time NHL GM and executive Brian Burke has joined the Rogers Sportsnet family as a broadcaster, contributing analysis of at least the next two rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

His first appearances include the popular "31 Questions" podcast with Jeff Marek, and Elliote Friedman, and  590's "Hockey Central @ Noon". After a too long season, Burke's energy and fresh, unvarnished views are a great addition.

Twitter has a rumour circulating that Burke would be the perfect successor for Don Cherry's gig, if and when Grapes steps away from HNIC, but for now, Brian Burke, the man who puts the T in truculance, is as entertaining as any hockey talking head around.
