Interesting that WBFO was the one to do this story. Looking at the pic below, I never knew that Frankie Crocker, a legendary New York City D.J., got his start at WUFO in Buffalo. (Apparently he was born in the Queen City and WUFO was his first radio job. And man, that aircheck below is definitely from a long ago era of radio.)

Turns out Eddie O'Jay - whose name was taken as a tribute by the hit-making O'Jays ("Love Train," "For the Love Of Money" etc.) - also toiled there for a time.
