"Voice Of The Bills" Van Miller Gone At 87

Van Miller was the voice of the Buffalo Bills for nearly four decades and worked at WIVB-TV (and before that, WBEN) for an amazing 43 years. The station devoted more than 10 minutes to his passing on its Saturday night newscast.

Legendary sportscaster Van Miller dies at 87

Van Miller was a part of my growing up; in the Golden Horeshoe.  The days where WBEN, WKBW and WGR were our TV lifelines to America.

And a big thumbs up should go to the powers that be at WIVB who, unlike so many broadcasters these days, took care to acknowledge and pay tribute to someone from their history.

And to top it off, even the competition has paid him tribute
